Beauteous! What a gorgeous color.FlowerLady
Such a beautiful, warming color. Are those thorns on the branches? Looks like the birds would have problems sitting on the branches! OUCH :)
WOW! SO PRETTY!!! =)Happy Wednesday!~CarolynCookin' for my Captain
I love it. Probably wouldn't grow in Colorado.
That is a beauty! Nice photo's Bernie!
Stunning shots, what amazing colours.Maggie
It is so interesting how the bloom...and so very beautiful!
wow, never seem one of those before.
Amazing! You have such unique plants in Australia. I love to visit to see the variety!
sorry had to shut the music off....your header collage is gorgeous.
We also have it here, usually planted at the property's end marker. Old traditional fishermen connotes its flowering to healthy mudcrabs. Don't ask me if it's true, i haven't tested. lol.
Oh, I love these trees!
What beautiful blooms on that tree :-)
Why so many flowers but no leaves? Reminds me of peach blossom. We don't have trees like this here. All trees come with leaves...not fair...
What a beautiful tree.
Hi Bernie, this silk cotton tree is a stunner. Such beautiful blooms and such a vibrant color. Great shots!
What a gorgeous bloom! The color is amazing, does it have a scent?
Thanks everyone for your comments.Wanda, I think the term for them is spines rather than thorns. They are not really that harmful, but would certainly deter any creature from trying to climb the trunk. One, these trees are deciduous in our dry season. The flowers bloom when they are few leaves left on the trees, almost as if they are trying to make up for the bareness of the tree.SquirrelQueen, no scent just a fabulous show of blooms.
The flowers are so gorgeous!

So Beautiful!My entry.
They're so pretty!
I'm not sure what is lovelier - the flowers or the bark of this spectacular tree. the flower color is gorgeous. happy Sunday to you.
Que linda árvores! Gostei também do seu cabeçalho. Os recortes de flores ficaram ótimos.
Beautiful tree!My entry.
I have to admit your cotton tree was not what I was expecting. I came back to comment because in comparison to our cotton tree, the one native to your locale is a swan compared to our ugly duckling. The first photo of the flower is amazing.
What an amazing tree! It looks like it is growing lilies!
That is a gorgeous tree!
I love how you captured the lovely blooms as well as the beautiful buds! Such a gorgeous color.
oh! lovely! I love the Red Silk Cotton when it is in full bloom. Especially the way an almost 'dried-up' looking tree with no leaves suddenly seems to burst into flames. Spectacular. For us it blooms in March.
Simply beautiful. I love the way the photos were captured. Cassy from Beginner Free Guitar Lessons
